Today I was just walking down the street, intending to shop in the supermarket, when I saw a lady in about her twenties beside me. I was waiting for the light to turn green at the moment. She was accompanied by some kids, a boy and a girl. They were probably her kids, since they called her "Mom". After waiting for a while, the light finally turns green. Being polite, I let the lady and her children walk in front of me. But suddenly, a honk was heard from not so far away. I turned my head in alert to see a big truck was heading toward the kids. The kids seemed unaware of the condition, and unexpectedly, the lady leaped forward and she pushed them with force across the road. It happened so fast, and luckily none of them was hit by the truck. The truck driver then got stopped by the police. They said they were sorry, because apparently their brake was broken for a moment. I was very fortunate, though I felt sad for the lady and her children. They looked traumatized, though they were safe. What a courageous lady.
